In 2021, DARcor was retained as the prime engineering consultant by EPCOR to perform a study to identify any restrictions and requirements for the construction of a SCADA radio tower at one of their operation centers. Deliverables included a formal feasibility study. Extensive coordination was undertaken with surrounding Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s) to determine permit requirements, permit types, estimated AHJ review times, estimated permit fees, and restrictions. The AHJ’s included Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), City of El Mirage, Luke Air Force Base, and Maricopa County.
In 2022, DARcor was retained again as the prime engineering consultant by EPCOR to prepare the construction documents and performed construction administration and inspection services during the construction of the 80ft SCADA tower to be used as the SCADA master and AMI/AMR master facility. The project also included construction administration services to provide coordination during construction, attend meetings, review submittals/shop drawings, review O&M manuals, make site inspections to verify proper installation. Record drawings were also completed.
